On which side you are? Have you ever thought about that in term of choosing sides? I don’t think so because to make such a choice you would need to know both sides pros and cons. Today regular internet user know really the minimum about spam. The stereotype of spam tells that this is something that might be dangerous and we should try to keep as far away from it as we can. Everybody knows that if you computer is connected to the internet we should have a proper spam filter installed. But which side of this long last conflict between spammers and corporations is bad and which is good? To answer that question we should be aware that there is not big border between these two groups. It is usually up to you where that line pass. For some people that were never further in the internet than his web filter allowed, spam is pure evil and corporations should have every right to chase them and put them to custody for what are they doing. But does those url filter users knows what are spammers doing and why are they doing that? Probably not, because they are already absorbed by the system and advertising spam sent to their brains by those “good” guys. But my opinion is probably a bit subjective because I was always on the side of those who are willing to sacrifice to fight with the system.
